For her first show at Paris Fashion Week, designer Adeline Ziliox wanted full transparency, literally. She used PVC (vinyl) in combination with soft materials like neoprene and mesh fabrics to create avant-garde femininity in a predominantly black and white collection. PVC tends to be hard or have too much of a street wear feel, but she was able to transform the material in a way to dress women and allow them to feel feminine. A PVC jacket had a gentle, rounded shoulder to enhance the femininity, while a PVC skirt was mixed with a soft garment to create volume and flow. I can’t wait to see more from this talented designer.
